Larisa brings wide cybersecurity experience to NERC CIP compliance by successfully leading and supporting the entire CIP lifecycle. From initial requirements decomposition and scope identification; to GRC analysis and support; to policy composition, policy implementation, RSAW drafting and evidence reconciliation; staff and vendor training development and executive (board) communications.
Larisa is an effective, positive bridge between cybersecurity blue teams, operations, and business units. Her CIP experience includes a major State energy regulator, municipal utilities, hybrid utilities, and hybrid Energy-Department of Defense issues. Larisa’s commercial work included midstream oil and gas, healthcare, major retail, and industrial control systems vendors.
With a Master’s degree in Saftey and Security Leadership from the George Washington University, she uses a holistic approach to incorporate cybersecurity with physical and administrative security policies. Larisa has worked with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force Research Lab, the U.S. Army’s Tank and Armaments Command, NATO as well as several States and Universities. She is adjunct faculty and a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded digital fellow at the University of Alaska Southeast.
